PlusPanel vs Plesk
Plesk is a hosting control panel licensed per server and installed on the server it manages, on Linux or Windows. It is offered in three editions licensed by the number of domains per server.1 PlusPanel is priced per server with unlimited domains, runs its control plane in the EU and leaves no management port open on your servers.
The 3 structural differences
Architecture
Plesk: Installed on each managed server (VPS or dedicated); one license per server1 · Admin UI on TCP 8443 (HTTPS) and TCP 8880 (HTTP); installer/updates TCP 84472
PlusPanel: A control plane in our EU cloud commands a minimal agent on each server. The server exposes no management port: the agent connects outbound over mTLS inside WireGuard and runs only typed, signed, expiring commands.
Licensing
Plesk: Per-server monthly or yearly subscription; editions by domain count (10 / 30 / unlimited)1 · From USD 16.99/month (Web Admin, 10 domains, monthly term, VAT excluded), as of 2026-10-101
PlusPanel: Per server, with unlimited accounts and domains: Free for one server, Pro €19/server/month, founding customers €9 locked for life.
Jurisdiction & security model
Plesk: WebPros International GmbH, Swiss limited liability company, Schaffhausen, Switzerland3 · Security Core (ModSecurity, Atomicorp rules), Let's Encrypt included; email AV add-on1
PlusPanel: 2Lines Sistem, Romania (EU). The OS is a signed image we maintain, with atomic rollback; WAF, firewall, country blocking and 2FA are included at GA, with no add-on licences.
