Monitoring and alerts
What is collected
Section titled “What is collected”Every server collects metrics (CPU, memory, disk, network, per account and per container) and logs (the services and sites it runs) and keeps them on the server. The panel shows them per server, per account (the Monitoring tab) and per site, with dashboards and a log explorer. When you look at a chart, the panel asks the server for exactly that data.
Central storage (optional)
Section titled “Central storage (optional)”If your organization opts in, servers also send their metrics and logs to our central stores in the EU, one separate tenant per organization, so history survives a lost server and searches span the fleet. Opting out deletes the central copy. How long it is kept depends on the edition:
| Free | Pro | Enterprise | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Metrics | 7 days | 30 days | 90 days |
| Logs | 3 days | 14 days | 30 days |
Alerts
Section titled “Alerts”Alert rules come built in, each with parameters you can tune per organization: disk filling up (with a prediction of when it will be full), a container that stopped, an agent that exited unexpectedly, a halted update rollout, vulnerable or infected WordPress sites, a new WordPress administrator, migrations, and more. An alert goes from pending to firing to resolved; you can acknowledge it with a comment or silence it for a while. Related alerts are grouped so you get one message, not fifty.
Channels:
- E-mail;
- webhook, signed with HMAC (header
X-PlusPanel-Signature) so you can verify it came from us; - push notifications to the phones and browsers where you installed the panel (install the app).
Channel secrets are stored encrypted; webhooks only go to public HTTPS addresses.
Status page
Section titled “Status page”The live state of the platform itself (control plane, private network, mail relay, DNS, image registry) is public at status.pluspanel.net. Incidents open and close there automatically from our probes.
